Olivetti S.p.A. the Telecom Italia Group's Business Unit, is active in office products and solutions, specialised applications for banking and retail and automated systems for gaming and lotteries and internet applications. The Company has around 3,000 employees in 5 production facilities and 3 Research & Development centres. Olivetti sells its products in over 70 countries (Europe, Latin America, Far East) directly and through networks of dealers, distributors and mass merchandising chains. Posted revenues were over 914 millions euros for 2002.

The Office Products Division´s core interest lies in digital printing systems for reprography and ink-jet technology based products. The division is particularly active in European markets where through direct subsidiaries and distribution and dealer networks (more than 2000 dealers across Europe) takes a significant market share in office product segment.

Olivetti I-Jet Division is dedicated to research and development of ink-jet technology. It is the only European (and one of five worldwide) to run a full-cycle ink-jet production process and to develop all related components, from inks to printheads.
Investment went over 100 billion Euro in the last 6 years. The Arnad facility, located in the Aosta Valley, north west of Italy, is covering more than 25.000 m2 and it is ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 certified.

The Systems Division operates worldwide in the sector for specialised systems for banking, retail, postal and automation of prognostic games and lotteries. World leader in the supply of bank counter printers, the Systems Division counts more than 100.000 peripherals installed in Post Offices around the world (Italy, Europe, Latin America). The Systems Division has about 1.100 employee in 2 production facilities and 3 research & development centres. Business revenues for the year 2002 reached 300 million Euros.
