Olivetti Fax-Lab 470 is an ink black & white fax machine of medium-output equipped with a phone, answering machine, and SMS functions. The machine can also be used as a desktop copier. Its physical design is the same as that of Fax-Lab 450, including equipment with fax, phone, and SMS functions described with that model. Fax-Lab 470 has a built-in remotely controlled answering machine enabling up to 15 minutes of recording. The answering machine is in standby mode and able to record messages also should a mains failure occur. An automatic switch distributes the incoming signal according to its nature to the relevant input.
